Excellent site for all vehicles & abilities.
A technical yet friendly site, although it looks tight with lots of trees the gaps between them are wider than other sites and you can get most places on the site with a standard vehicle. Some deep mud and big bomb-holes for those feeling adventurous, plus plenty of lumps, bumps, etc. for technical driving.

Shire LRC had another successful day out in the sunshine at Beaulieu for the Simply Land Rover Show.
All Land Rover owners were invited to drive into Beaulieu and park up within the museum complex which always promises to be a superb day out.
A group of Land Rover enthusiasts met at Rownhams Services to join the Shire convoy and club stand.

On Sunday 28th May we will be running a green lane trip. It will hopefully take in bits of Salisbury Plain and the Marlborough Downs.
If you would like to be part of the trip please email greenlanes-west@shirelrc.com with your name, club membership number vehicle model, registration number and a mobile phone number that you are contactable on.
Spaces are limited and details are sent out to those on the trip nearer the time.
Shire LRC are hosting a play day at Aldermaston on Sunday 23rd April. This is a great site which is technical yet friendly with a mixture of difficulties from sections which can be reached with a standard vehicle to sections for highly modified vehicles. Plenty to keep all entertainment.
New and existing members welcome.

Some exciting news is that RR Parts are providing a selection of raffle prizes including a Bearmach service kit, Bearmach wrap-around diff guard, and a T-Max hi-lift jack. We are also putting some club merchandise into the raffle so you could win some lovely ShireLRC gear, or if you’re unlucky you might win a club keyring!
The T-Max hi-lift jack will go to one randomly selected member on the day – you’ve just got to be there and signed in to be in with a chance!
We can also confirm there will be a burger van on-site for food and drinks.
Proceeds from the raffle will go to the Hampshire & Isle Of Wight Air Ambulance.

A huge thanks to all who turned out for our end of year “Cold turkey” play day at Mannington. We had a great turnout, and a grand time was had by almost everyone – we’re not sure if the guys stuck in the ice-cold pond were having fun or not, but it looks like they were providing entertainment for those stood on dry land!

Its almost Christmas and that means lots of fun, beer, crazy last minute shopping, and rushing around to see family. If you fancy a bit of a break and some time away from the Christmas craziness, come along to our Mannington Playday and enjoy a few hours of off road fun!
It’s that time of year, and our membership secretary is incredibly busy (some lame excuse about rennovating a house) so if you are waiting for a membership application or renewal to be processed please be patient – it WILL get done!
If you’re planning on attending our post-Christmas play-day and your membership card has expired or you haven’t had one yet, please just contact us ASAP and we can make sure your name is on our list.
