Christmas Toy Convoy – A Huge Success!

Our 2025 Christmas Toy Convoy was a huge success for it’s debut! Thanks to the generosity of our members, supporters, local businesses and the wider community, we delivered £1,300+ worth of donated gifts to children and families across the region – all in true Shire style.

With 16 decorated trucks rolling through Southampton and a fantastic welcome at the Civic Steps, the event captured everything we love about this club: community, kindness, and a shared passion for doing good together.

The toys collected supported one of the largest appeals in the area, benefiting not just Southampton but also partner organisations including Women’s Refuges and youth services across Hampshire.

And we’re only just getting started.

In 2026, we’ll be back – bigger, brighter and even more festive – with more vehicles, more brilliance, and even more Christmas magic to share. Keep an eye on our socials for updates on how you can get involved next year.

Please feel free to check out the amazing work of the appeal, in this Daily Echo news article : www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/25798219.christmas-appeal-toy-donations-exceed-50-000-southampton/

Members raising money for charity

The Shire Land Rover Club supports the Hampshire & Isle Of Wight Air Ambulance as our “nominated” charity, but there are also individual members raising money for charity, we’d love you to show your support for them:

First off, our long-standing club treasurer Henry has had his amazing beard for 40 years, but is offering to shave it off if we can raise £1000 to be shared equally between the Royal British Legion and The West of England School for Blind Children (WESC).

Have a look at his daughter’s campaign for a clean-shaven Henry here:

Secondly,  Shire LRC member Daan and some friends have decided to enter the Croatia Trophy 2016, running from 27th of April until May 5th. They are raising money for Cancer Research UK. They have chosen this charity because Mark, Daan’s co driver, lost his mother at the age of 17 to cancer, and exactly 1 year ago, Daan’s uncle Herman passed away having lost the battle with it. We can all think of examples in our family, friends colleagues etc.

Their just giving page is here – please show your support:
