Tracks Across the Field 2016

We have recently been approached by the organisers of “Tracks Across the Field” which is a Vintage tractor working weekend in Froxfield, Petersfield on the 20th & 21st August.

The weekend displays and exhibits approximately 100-120 tractors over the weekend.
They also have a large field with horse ploughing, horticultural machines, beer tent and trade stands and much more for the whole family to enjoy.

Shire Land Rover Club will be on display all weekend and members are welcome to join us, either during the day, or for the camping as well.
Non-members are welcome to come along, join or re-join the club, and get stuck in! This will also give you another opportunity to purchase your club merchandise and stickers!

The event is located in Froxfield, Hampshire, just opposite the Trooper Inn Pub (GU32 1BD)

If you are interested in coming along to join in the club display please contact us.

Simply Land Rover Show @ Beaulieu

Shire Land Rover Club organised a convoy of members to take part in “Simply Land Rover Show” at Beaulieu Motor Museum.

The event was very successful for the club, we recruited several new members and spread the word about our fantastic club, plus it was brilliant day in the sunshine!

Roll on next weekend for the “Tracks Across the Field” show!

Members raising money for charity

The Shire Land Rover Club supports the Hampshire & Isle Of Wight Air Ambulance as our “nominated” charity, but there are also individual members raising money for charity, we’d love you to show your support for them:

First off, our long-standing club treasurer Henry has had his amazing beard for 40 years, but is offering to shave it off if we can raise £1000 to be shared equally between the Royal British Legion and The West of England School for Blind Children (WESC).

Have a look at his daughter’s campaign for a clean-shaven Henry here:

Secondly,  Shire LRC member Daan and some friends have decided to enter the Croatia Trophy 2016, running from 27th of April until May 5th. They are raising money for Cancer Research UK. They have chosen this charity because Mark, Daan’s co driver, lost his mother at the age of 17 to cancer, and exactly 1 year ago, Daan’s uncle Herman passed away having lost the battle with it. We can all think of examples in our family, friends colleagues etc.

Their just giving page is here – please show your support:

Club Social & Mannington play day coming up (UPDATE!)

UPDATE: The club social is of course 1st Thursday of the month as usual, that’s the 7th of April. Apologies. Hope to see you there!

The next club social is Thursday 7th April at the Empress Of Blandings, come along and say hello!

The next play day is Sunday 17th April at Mannington, due to a site fee hike we’ve had to make the entry price £25 which is still excellent value for a day playing in the mud!
