DESCRIPTION:We will have a club stand at this event and will be attending as a group – if you show your membership card you can get a free cup of tea or coffee from our stand. This can give you a friendly face to wander round the event with and people can help spot rare treasures that others are looking for! DESCRIPTION:Some of you may have spotted that what used to be a pub at West Meon Hut is now “Caffeine & Machine“\, a meeting point for all sorts of petrolheads. We’re going to be popping down on Sunday the 13th of October from about 10am to join in their “Winter Weapons” meet as a Land Rover is an ideal winter weapon! \nWinter Weapons celebrates those vehicles that come into their own when the weather turns foul. How you define it is up to you. \nEverything from Audi Quattro to off-road and winch-equipped Defenders\, MotoX\, and\, ratty winter commuter bikes\, Winter Weapons celebrates those vehicles that come into their own when the weather turns foul. How you define it is up to you. \nExpect an always eclectic mix of machinery and be ready to have your eyes opened to new pockets of intrigue wherever you look. \nThis is a ticketed event – you need to book online here (and please make sure you choose the right day & time!) and we’ll see you there. \nAlthough we are aiming for 10am it’s fine if you want to book & arrive earlier or later – we’ll see you there either way! \nThe pub is on the crossroads of the A32 and A272 opposite the petrol station\, very easy to find & get to.

DESCRIPTION:You may not be aware but Dunsfold Collection is home to the largest Land Rover collection in the world – with a huge variety of rare Land Rovers including all manner of prototypes and specialist one-offs. \nThe Camel Trophy Owners Club have very kindly opened up their special visit to Shire LRC members so if you missed our previous visit or you’d like to see some rare Camel Trophy exhibits and maybe even chat to a few legends\, get yourself along! \n\nMembers of Shire LRC are invited to join Camel Trophy Club’s visit to the prestigious Dunsfold Collection museum which takes place on Saturday 19th October 2024. \nThe museum houses displays of up to 40 rare vehicles on rotation from the total of 136 in the care of the Dunsfold Collection. The museum also contains an unrivalled archive of Land Rover brochures\, publicity material\, manuals\, handbooks\, photographs\, drawings and magazines\, as well as a vast display of Land Rover memorabilia\, together with the extraordinary John Parker collection of over 2\,000 Land Rover models and toys.Members can arrive from lunchtime\, when we expect drinks and snacks to be available.  A guided tour of the museum will take place in the afternoon\, culminating in the unveiling of a unique display of priceless Camel Trophy artefacts forming part of a new exhibit.Camel Trophy VIPs including Nick Horne (Event Director)\, Bob & Joe Ives (Team UK ’89) and Nick Dimbleby (CT Photographer) will be present at the event and will give an evening presentation\, which we know will be a highlight of the season after the sell-out Camel Trophy talk at Dunsfold earlier this year.  The presentation will be at the nearby Springbok Estate where there will be a bar and a subsidised buffet.To book your ticket for the event\, please follow these instructions… \n\nVisit the Dunsfold Collection website at www.dunsfoldcollection.co.uk/donation.\nSelect “Donate now” and make a £20 donation for each adult ticket required (note: under-13s are free) and make sure you reference Camel Trophy Club in the “Your comment” box.\nFinally\, send an email to events@cameltrophyclub.com stating your name\, contact telephone and email\, number of adult tickets purchased\, number of under-13s requested\, and if you will be staying for the buffet.\n\nFor planning purposes the event is ticket-only and tickets will be checked on the door.  Please respect the museum by adhering to this. \nA range of accommodation options are available at the Springbok Estate so why not extend your trip to make it a weekend to remember! \n\nGuest rooms – The Club has secured a special rate of £65/room/night for double/twin rooms which can be booked by phoning 01403 759630 during office hours or emailing d.burgess@careashore.org. See breakfast options below.\nCamping – A pitch on grass (no electrical hook up) with access to toilets and showers is £20/pitch/night and can be booked by phoning 01403 759630 during office hours or emailing d.burgess@careashore.org.  See breakfast options below.\nCamping – A pitch on hardstanding with electrical hookup is £27/pitch/night and can be booked online via the pitchup.com website.  See breakfast options below.\nBreakfast is available but you must book this in advance when you arrange your accommodation.  A cooked breakfast is £7.50 (Saturday)\, £8.50 (Sunday) and a basic continental breakfast is available on Monday for £4.\n\nWe look forward to seeing as many people as possible at the event!

DESCRIPTION:This is an excellent site for all vehicles & abilities. \nA technical yet friendly site\, although it looks tight with lots of trees the gaps between them are wider than other sites and you can get most places on the site with a standard vehicle. \nSome deep mud and big bomb-holes for those feeling adventurous\, plus plenty of lumps\, bumps\, etc. for technical driving. \nYou can save time and book in advance through Eventbrite by clicking here.
