It’s got something for all vehicles and abilities.\n\n\n\n\nMannington is a site of two halves\, one half has tight technical forest tracks with some deep swampy sections\, mud runs\, dug out climbs and gulleys\, and the other half is a large open arena which is great for all vehicles and abilities\, with water of varying depth so you can dip a toe or plough in bonnet-deep\, plus lots of wide open climbs and tracks and some twisty technical bits in between the trees.\n\nA great site for all vehicles from shiny to hardcore. DESCRIPTION:This is a social meetup organised by Tea On The Tailgate on Facebook\, a group of us will be popping along to see what it’s all about and most importantly have a cup of tea on the tailgate of a Land Rover or two!\n\n\nThere’s no ticketing or anything so just turn up – if you want to join with the Shire group going along please get in touch by the any of the usual means to coordinate with the others who are going.\n\n\nBeing December the theme is “Lights on the Landy” so take that and do with it what you will!\n\n\nTo quote the organiser:\n\n\nI had the idea to hold some socials for local enthusiasts\, So i created the Instagram page @tea_on_the_tailgate\, this rapidly grew and it became obvious people all over were following and not just local.\n\nI got chatting to a great guy wanting to hold events in Hampshire so the idea evolved into regional groups under the umbrella of tea on the tailgate.\nSo on Instagram we now have @tea_on_the_tailgate_dorset\, @tea_on_the_tailgate_hampshire and hopefully soon tea_on_the_tailgate_shropshire.\nEach sub group is run by local enthusiastic individuals running them pretty much how they see fit. The philosophy is\n\nAny Land Rover welcome Freelanders\, Series\, Discos old and new even new Defenders or Range Rovers. – if yours is off the road come along anyway. I should say that abuse isn’t tolerated and event organisers would be in their right to ask someone to leave. There’s no judgement here on what people do with their vehicles. The reason we love Land Rovers is the versatility\, endless modification options and reliability \nThere’s no charge for attending events. The aim is not to charge but if there are car parking fees that’s a cost the individual pays.\nPeople bring their own refreshments however I’m keen to support charities where possible and organisers may chose to provide something for a small charitable donation.\nI hope organisers will Choose to produce stickers of their logo. I’m hoping this will be something for people to collect from different meets they attend. DESCRIPTION:You may not be aware but Dunsfold Collection is home to the largest Land Rover collection in the world – with a huge variety of rare Land Rovers including all manner of prototypes and specialist one-offs. \nThe Camel Trophy Owners Club have very kindly opened up their special visit to Shire LRC members so if you missed our previous visit or you’d like to see some rare Camel Trophy exhibits and maybe even chat to a few legends\, get yourself along! \n\nMembers of Shire LRC are invited to join Camel Trophy Club’s visit to the prestigious Dunsfold Collection museum which takes place on Saturday 19th October 2024. \nThe museum houses displays of up to 40 rare vehicles on rotation from the total of 136 in the care of the Dunsfold Collection. DESCRIPTION:Mannington is a site of two halves\, one half has tight technical forest tracks with some deep swampy sections\, mud runs\, dug out climbs and gulleys\, and the other half is a large open arena which is great for all vehicles and abilities\, with water of varying depth so you can dip a toe or plough in bonnet-deep\, plus lots of wide open climbs and tracks and some twisty technical bits in between the trees. \nA great site for all vehicles from shiny to hardcore – our rules on which vehicles can come are here. \nYou can save time and book a ticket in advance via Eventbrite here\, or you can pay on the day as usual. \nMANNINGTON SITE LOCATION\nFor anyone who hasn’t been to Mannington before the nearest postcode is BH21 6SB \nThe site entrance is located on the main road at the crossroads with Horton Road and Burt’s Lane. Shire LRC signs will be located at this point and to guide you along the farm track – please close the gate after you\, and PLEASE drive carefully and considerately as there are pedestrians and horses using this track. \nThe Google Maps waypoint is 50.868091\, -1.912104\nYou can type the above co-ordinates into Google maps and it will take you directly to the site.

DESCRIPTION:Show off your Land Rover at Silverstone!\nWe’re really rather excited about this – the Shire Land Rover Club have got a stand at Silverstone Classic 2024 – three days of classic cars from every era\, racing on-track and on show\, full pit lane access all round\, plus live music in the evenings\, a FREE fun-fair for the kids\, air displays\, and loads of other stuff. \nAs an invited car club we get a much reduced rate AND you get to park your Land Rover on the club stand in amongst the Ferraris and Porsches and whatnot. \n \nThe package price is for TWO PEOPLE in ONE VEHICLE and is a big discount off the regular ticket price.
