DESCRIPTION:Mannington is a site of two halves\, one half has tight technical forest tracks with some deep swampy sections\, mud runs\, dug out climbs and gullies\, and the other half is a large open arena which is great for all vehicles and abilities\, with water of varying depth so you can dip a toe or plough in bonnet-deep\, plus lots of wide open climbs and tracks and some twisty technical bits in between the trees. \nA great site for all vehicles from shiny to hardcore – our rules on which vehicles can come are here. \nMANNINGTON SITE LOCATION\nFor anyone who hasn’t been to Mannington before the nearest postcode is BH21 6SB \nThe site entrance is located on the main road at the crossroads with Horton Road and Burt’s Lane. Shire LRC signs will be located at this point and to guide you along the farm track – please close the gate after you\, and PLEASE drive carefully and considerately as there are pedestrians and horses using this track. \nThe Google Maps waypoint is 50.868091\, -1.912104\nYou can type the above co-ordinates into Google maps and it will take you directly to the site.

SUMMARY:Shire Games 2026
DESCRIPTION:Last year saw mud on boots\, laughter across the field\, and more than a few heads buried deep in engine bays while someone shouted “pass me that spanner!”. From trailer-reversing glory to blindfolded driving\, and evenings spent around the fire comparing breakdowns like badges of honour\, the Shire Games delivered exactly what a Land Rover weekend should – plus a few games of Chess. \nThis year\, we’re doing it all again\, but in August so hopefully sun tans and sun cream rather than wellie boots and wet socks. \nExpect familiar challenges\, fresh twists\, and the same good-natured antics – whether you arrive in a Series I with character\, a Defender that’s earned every dent\, or something a little more modern. There’ll be games to test skill and nerve\, time for fettling and fixing\, and plenty of moments where teamwork (or creative problem-solving) saves the day. \nBring your Land Rover\, bring your tools\, and bring your sense of humour.\nIf last year was anything to go by\, you’ll leave with a smile on your face\, new stories\, and at least one thing added to the “to do” list. \nTickets and more info to follow soon – in the meantime here’s some highlights from last year’s inaugural event:
