SUMMARY:Play Day – Mannington
DESCRIPTION:Mannington is a site of two halves\, one half has tight technical forest tracks with some deep swampy sections\, mud runs\, dug out climbs and gullies\, and the other half is a large open arena which is great for all vehicles and abilities\, with water of varying depth so you can dip a toe or plough in bonnet-deep\, plus lots of wide open climbs and tracks and some twisty technical bits in between the trees. \nA great site for all vehicles from shiny to hardcore – our rules on which vehicles can come are here. \nMANNINGTON SITE LOCATION\nFor anyone who hasn’t been to Mannington before the nearest postcode is BH21 6SB \nThe site entrance is located on the main road at the crossroads with Horton Road and Burt’s Lane. Shire LRC signs will be located at this point and to guide you along the farm track – please close the gate after you\, and PLEASE drive carefully and considerately as there are pedestrians and horses using this track. \nThe Google Maps waypoint is 50.868091\, -1.912104\nYou can type the above co-ordinates into Google maps and it will take you directly to the site.

DESCRIPTION:This December\, the Shire Land Rover Club is proudly supporting Southampton City Council’s Christmas Toy Appeal with a festive convoy of Land Rovers – complete with twinkling lights\, mince pies and maybe even Santa! \n\n\n\nOn Saturday 6th December our members will drive in convoy to the Civic Steps\, where the Mayor of Southampton and Toy Appeal team will welcome us as we deliver toys collected by our members and supporters. \n\n\n\n💛 How you can help: We’re inviting local families\, schools and friends to contribute by donating a new\, unwrapped toy or gift for a child in need this Christmas. \n\n\n\nWe’re especially encouraging donations for teenage boys (ages 13–17) – a group often overlooked in toy appeals. \n\n\n\nThink along the lines of: 🎧 Headphones or gadgets ⚽ Sports equipment 🎮 Lego or Boardgames 🧢 Toiletries or grooming sets 👕 Hats\, socks\, or accessories \n\n\n\n🎁 Gift drop-off: If you have gifts you wish to drop off please contact Steph who is collecting all donations – email stephanie@shirelrc.com or contact us. \n\n\n\nAll donations will be safely stored and delivered by the convoy on the day of the event. \n\n\n\n👉 You can also donate directly to the official Southampton Toy Appeal here: www.southampton.gov.uk/support-the-southampton-toy-appeal/. \n\n\n\nIf you would like to join the convoy please contact Steph and she will provide the details! This can give you a friendly face to wander round the event with and people can help spot rare treasures that others are looking for! DESCRIPTION:This is an exciting new event for us – at its core this is a relaxed weekend camping & social event for members\, but we’re also throwing in some optional activities during Saturday to keep everyone entertained. \nPeople can come & go as they please all weekend and are free to join in or just spectate\, the ticket is a flat rate per vehicle for the whole weekend. \n\nFriday – Arrive on site from 4pm\, we’re hoping to have a communal bonfire in the evening.\nSaturday – activities during the day followed by an optional BBQ in the evening\, we provide the BBQ + fire and everyone can bring whatever they want to throw on it.\nSunday – we’re hoping to organise a green lane run for those who are interested\n\nActivities we are planning to run on Saturday: \n\nA Land Rover / truck pull\nTrailer reversing\nDriving course\nBlind drive of faith\nDisco tilt challenge\n\nPlease book tickets via Eventbrite here.

DESCRIPTION:Mannington is a site of two halves\, one half has tight technical forest tracks with some deep swampy sections\, mud runs\, dug out climbs and gulleys\, and the other half is a large open arena which is great for all vehicles and abilities\, with water of varying depth so you can dip a toe or plough in bonnet-deep\, plus lots of wide open climbs and tracks and some twisty technical bits in between the trees. \nA great site for all vehicles from shiny to hardcore – our rules on which vehicles can come are here. \nYou can save time and book a ticket in advance via Eventbrite here\, or you can pay on the day as usual. \nMANNINGTON SITE LOCATION\nFor anyone who hasn’t been to Mannington before the nearest postcode is BH21 6SB \nThe site entrance is located on the main road at the crossroads with Horton Road and Burt’s Lane. Shire LRC signs will be located at this point and to guide you along the farm track – please close the gate after you\, and PLEASE drive carefully and considerately as there are pedestrians and horses using this track. \nThe Google Maps waypoint is 50.868091\, -1.912104\nYou can type the above co-ordinates into Google maps and it will take you directly to the site.

DESCRIPTION:Show off your Land Rover at Silverstone!\nWe’re really rather excited about this – the Shire Land Rover Club have got a stand at Silverstone Classic 2025 – three days of classic cars from every era\, racing on-track and on show\, full pit lane access all round\, plus live music in the evenings\, a FREE fun-fair for the kids\, air displays\, and loads of other stuff. \nAs an invited car club we get a much reduced rate AND you get to park your Land Rover on the club stand in amongst the Ferraris and Porsches and whatnot. \n \nThe package price is for TWO PEOPLE in ONE VEHICLE and is a big discount off the regular ticket price.
